David Royce Duncan

David R. Duncan, 55, died Saturday, April 1, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. David was a wonderful husband, "Pop Pop", and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and his dog Spot who dearly loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Rudi Anne Duncan; stepchildren, Rachel and Michael Dick; grandchildren, Britta Adrian VanAmburg and Jocelyn Nicole Dick. He is also survived by his sisters, Dianna Kirkman of Gainesville, GA, Linda Cooper of Seaford, DE; brother, Philip Duncan of Salisbury, MD; son, Philip Duncan who resides in Colorado.

David, a decorated Viet Nam veteran, retired in 1990 after 20 years in the U.S. Army. He was the past Commander at Franklin Sloan Post #7383, 522 Reedy Creek Road in Cary and enjoyed visiting with all his friends there; this was his home away from home.
