Rest in Peace

John Roman Jr.

February 6, 1924 – November 20, 1997

Roman

Our father, John Roman Jr., had a good life as a first American born of Ruthenian/Rusyn parents. In World War II, he was with the 58th Bomb Wing (B-29 Super Fortress; Enola Gay). Dad married his dream girl Mae Pauley in 1946 and was later recommended for CIA in Northern VA.

Daddy was an affectionate and interesting man, intelligent, and generous to all who met him. He co-founded Saints Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church in Cary, North Carolina. He was president of the 58th Bomb Wing Association.

His six great grandchildren, Allie, Seth, Gracie, Alex, Pete, and Amber never got to know their "Poppi."

We love you and have missed you sorely every day.
