Richard Perry "Spide" Freeman

March 11, 1935 – December 11, 2022


Richard P "Spide" Freeman, 87, of Cary, NC, died Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the Clayton Rehab/Nursing Home after suffering from Dementia for the past few years.

Mr. Freeman was the son of the late Delbert and Lena Freeman, and is predeceased by his only child, Delores, and her husband, David Freeden. He is survived by: his wife of 10 years, Carol Vanderbilt Jacobi-Freeman, grand-son, Gabriel Freeden of Ft. Benning, GA and his 3 daughters.

Mr. Freeman was a 1952 graduate of Liverpool H.S., Liverpool, NY. He is a veteran of the Korean War, Life Member of the V.F.W., SAR and EAA Chapter Flight "77", San Jose, CA. He had built his own open cockpit, two-seater aircraft in the late 1970's and flew around the area for several years. After retiring from owning a MACCO business in San Jose, CA he moved and lived in Arizona before moving to North Carolina, 10 years ago.

Funeral arrangements with Brown Wynne of Cary. Granting the deceased wishes, no viewing or calling times. Interment of ashes to be determined.
