Tom Breslin

Born on December 28, 1955 in Albany, New York, Tom always had a great love for life and leisure. He graduated Cardinal McCloskey High School in 1974. He worked for Chart Industries after graduation, spent a year living in California, and then returned to the Capital Region before taking a job with IBM in the early 1980s and relocating to Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. After a decade in New Jersey, Tom moved to Cary where he lived for 25 years. He retired three years ago to indulge his passions for golf, auto racing, horse racing, college football and basketball, the San Francisco Giants, and the Miami Dolphins. He greatly enjoyed golf weekends and card games with beloved friends and bartending part time at his VFW Post.

Tom will be met at the Gates by his brother Danny Breslin. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Clara Breslin of Colonie, New york; siblings Anthony Breslin (and his wife Tina) of Syracuse, Terry Breslin (and his wife Linda Kern) of Lansingburg, New york, Timothy Breslin of Rotterdam, New York, and MaryLou Darling (and her husband Joseph) of Niskayuna, New York; several nieces and nephews; and many dear and wonderful friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tom’s family on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the McVeigh Funeral Home at 208 North Allen Street, Albany, New York, and the memorial service to be conducted at 7:00 pm.
