Wayne Keith Sirois passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 15th.

Wayne Keith Sirois was born in Kankakee, Illinois August 4th, 1939, to Floyd and Ina Sirois. Wayne attended school in Kankakee, Illinois, he would describe the school as a square building with grades 1-4 in each corner. Wayne continued school in Kankakee where he later on met the love of his life, Sally Gene Wilson. In 1962 Wayne was drafted into the military. After serving two years Wayne enlisted and continued his career for 26 years. During this time the Army found Wayne had a high IQ. He never got to jump out of an Airplane, instead the army put him in a communications position and sent him to various colleges throughout his career. This resulted in a business degree and the rank of CW4 when he retired. Wayne later went on to Campbell University where he pursued religious studies and studied 12 different religions. During this time, he wrote and published several papers, books and short children's stories.

After retirement from the Army Wayne went to work for GTE as a communications engineer. He also started his own recording company called East Coast recordings where he produced a gospel CD. He helped support the Fisher house and rode his Harley Davidson’s with Rolling Thunder for many years. Wayne had an infinity for Jesus and would spread his word wherever he went.

Wayne’s children recall things their father taught them/ memories that mean something to them. Christina attributes her dad for teaching her how to play the organ and sing, they would do this sitting side by side on the bench. Steve remembers how his dad taught him to be humble and not back down. Steve’s fondest memory was when he was sworn into service by his father during enlistment. Russ remembers the life lesson of not stopping until the job is done. Melissa remembers camping in the state parks and fishing on the Russian river. She says her dad would stay up all night cleaning fish. “Peace and the lord be with you”-Melissa.

Wayne was predeceased by his 1st wife, Sally of 55 years, 2nd wife Carolyn of 13 years and brother Delmar Sirois.

He is survived by his loving sister Gwen Maddox of Tunnel Hill, GA, his 4 children Christina Sirois of Modesto, CA. Steve Sirois and wife Sandy of Raleigh NC.
